Grassroots & Novice Stages
Introduction & Basic Skills
New archers begin at their local clubs, where certified coaches guide them through fundamental techniques and safety protocols.
Entry-Level Competitions
Athletes at this level are encouraged to join Club tournaments, Novice events, fun shoots, and local leagues provide an accessible starting point for testing competitive skills and gaining confidence.

Intermediate Athletes
Structured Training
Intermediate archers should be following a more rigorous training plans, focusing on technique refinement, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.
Regional & National Competitions
Athletes compete in sanctioned events to gain experience, earn ranking points, and benchmark their progress against other competitors in Jamaica.

National Development Programs
Targeted Coaching
Archers showing strong potential may be invited to join Archery Jamaica development squads. Here, they receive specialized coaching, access to national training camps, and personalized development plans.
Mentorship & Support
Athletes benefit from the guidance of experienced coaches and support staff, helping them hone their technique and develop for peak performance.

National events and International Development Events
Athletes from this level compete in National Ranking events and may seek selection to compete at development and regional or international development events.

High Performance
National Team Selection
High-performing archers are considered for selection to Jamaica’s national teams, representing the country at regional, continental, and global events.
International Competition & Camps
High Performance archers gain exposure to international standards, including overseas training camps and major championships such as the CAC Games, Pan Am Games, World Championships, and Olympic qualifiers.
