About Us

Archery Jamaica is the National Governing Body for the sport of archery in Jamaica. As the organization entrusted with overseeing and guiding all aspects of archery in the country, we are committed to nurturing the sport at every level, from local grassroots clubs to high-performance athletes who represent Jamaica on the global stage.

 

Our Mandate

• Grow & Promote Archery: We introduce the sport to new audiences across Jamaica through events, outreach, and partnerships, raising archery’s profile and participation.

• Administer & Govern: We oversee clubs and individuals, regulating participation and enforcing rules that ensure fairness, safety, and inclusivity.

• Strategic Vision: We shape and implement long-term plans for archery’s development, setting clear objectives and priorities.

• Support & Development: We invest in coaches, athletes, officials, and volunteers through training, resources, and recognition.

• National Team Selection & Representation: We conduct trials and select athletes to represent Jamaica in regional and international competitions.

• Anti-Doping & Compliance: We uphold ethical standards and ensure adherence to anti-doping regulations.

• Event Sanctioning & Oversight: We grant official status to competitions and oversee them to maintain high standards of quality and safety.

• Dispute Resolution & Discipline: We manage rule violations and disputes through fair, transparent procedures.

• International Liaison: We collaborate with global bodies such as World Archery and World Archery Americas to maintain international standards and further Jamaica’s presence on the world stage.

• Competitions & Events: We organize and host tournaments, leagues, and other opportunities for archers of all levels to compete, learn, and excel.
